MAGGI in Pregnancy

During pregnancy, you have to give on some foods that are not very good for the health of your baby. Sadly, one such food is everyone’s favourite Maggi or instant noodles.

Here’s why you should avoid consumption of Maggi during pregnancy:

  1. It is simply overloaded with carbohydrates and contains no fibre which is not good for your metabolism.
  2. It contains MSG (Monosodium Glutamate), an additive and an addictive, which when taken in large quantities can harm your system.
  3. Maggi also contains high sodium content

If consumed regularly, Maggi or instant noodles can have bad effects like,

  1. High BP
  2. Gestational diabetes
  3. Water retention
  4. Nutritional deficiencies
  5. Dependency and addiction
  6. Abnormal weight gain
  7. Constipation

Words of Truth: Try to avoid eating Maggi during pregnancy. If you are feeling too much craving towards it, then please eat it in moderation.

Alternatively, you can make home cooked wheat noodles with garlic, soya sauce in moderation and vinegar to ward off the craving.
